Hello fans! I am now in charge of the Sea Feathers Blog, because Peter says I can't just look cute, stalk lizards and lay around eating and sleeping all day.

I do like to do a little bit of painting in my spare time. My "Potcake and Friends" series are becoming very sought after- and I do commissions too.

I love weddings. We have had quite a few this season. Villa de Ligera is a very popular venue. Bill and Melissa, who stayed at Mimosa Villa got married and I got to go too - Yeah The food at the reception was very tasty!

I feel really sorry when our guests sometimes don't get their luggage - especially if they have brought me treats - so I have some tips for you all.

2. Attach 2 luggage labels clearly displaying your destination and phone number on the outside of your checked baggage - take this info from our booking form and ask for a phone number for the villa. Then if one tag gets ripped off in transit you should at least still have one in place!

3. Divide your clothes between family menber's suitcases - then at least you all get something to wear! Hopefully you all have similar tastes in fashion!!! Sorry I cannot lend you my fur coat.

4. Before you zip up your checked luggage, place an A4 piece of paper, clearly displaying the villa name and address ON TOP of your clothes. Not only does this help with identification in case your bag is displaced, it also makes security personnel who are checking items of baggage feel more comfortable.

5. Please do not lock your bags. It only causes problems. Rarely does anything get stolen these days. BUT it is helpful to keep an inventory of what went in each suitcase and if you add pretty ribbon or a very noticeable strap around your bag it is much less likely that someone else will pick yours off the conveyor belt by mistake!

6. Also PLEASE check that you do not pick somebody else's bag up in error.

7. It is rare that your bag does not get back to you within 48 hours, but if you use our tips I I hope that you will arrive will ALL your bags! If not, I am an excellent blood hound!! I have good relationships with the airlines. In my role as "in house concierge dog", I have never needed to bite anyone yet to get a bag recovered! Oh and by the way,you won't need to bring a fur coat

CELL PHONE HIRE. Sea Feathers Vacations has partnered with Cable and Wireless to offer a cell phone at every villa. Guests are finding these cell phones to be very useful and much cheaper than paying roaming charges to their service providers back home. Please ask us for more details.

Many of my guests are animal lovers and some have even adopted dogs from the Turks and Caicos to take home with them. These lovable dogs are known locally as "potcakes" and the Turks and Caicos Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals - TSPCA - have a goal to ensure that every animal in the Turks & Caicos is owned and cared for and is free from abuse.

It is universally acknowledged that Potcakes are our biggest export!
